3rd Most Liveable City in the World

Adelaide was voted the 3rd most liveable city in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit in 2021 (and number one in Australia) for good reason.

Offering a relaxed, family-friendly lifestyle with affordable housing, top-quality schools, and good transport links, you can easily achieve a work-life balance. Being a city of just 1.3 million people it's small enough to get around but big enough to offer everything you'd expect - from great restaurants and cafes to world-class museums and quirky art galleries.

With stunning coastline and countryside and a Mediterranean climate of hot dry summers and mild winters, you can enjoy the miles of white sandy beaches and wooded hiking trails year-round.

The Festival State

South Australia is known as the Festival State and prides itself on hosting internationally recognised cultural events. The city is home to the Adelaide Fringe (the second largest arts festival in the world after Edinburgh), Womadelaide, and Illuminate, to name just a few. For foodies, we have Tasting Australia as well as the Winter Reds and Crush wine festivals.

Our home neighbourhood of Glenelg hosts event year-round including the Summersalt Music festival, a winter Alpine Fest, and best of all an ice cream festival with local gelaterias!

Burgeoning Food and Wine Scene

Adelaide is a culinary playground with a smorgasbord of cuisines on offer. From authentic Napoli-style pizzerias to fine-dining in historic cellar doors, Adelaide dishes up some incredible restaurants.

It is also one of the Great Wine Capitals of the World, alongside Bordeaux in France, and Napa Valley in the US. The iconic Barossa Valley and its bold reds are within easy reach of the city, and the McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills feature a stunning selection of modern cellar doors and restaurants, all within about 45 minutes drive of the clinic.

Explore South Australia

South Australia has 12 unique regions offering everything from beaches to mountains.

On Kangaroo Island with its raw and rugged coastline, you'll find a wildlife sanctuary and pristine beaches where the kids can roam free to explore.

Wilpena Pound and the Flinders Ranges are just a few hours' drive north of the city and the entry to the Strzelecki and Birdsville Tracks where you can follow in the footsteps of the pioneers who carved roads through outback South Australia.

World-Class Education

Adelaide has a reputation as one of Australia's great learning cities with excellent government, private, and religious schools providing education from pre-school to 18. There are three major universities that are consistently ranked amongst Australia's best for research and attracting local and overseas students.

A network of vocational training organisations across the city are also available to support your family's education.

Attractive and Affordable Housing

Adelaide is one of the most affordable cities for housing in Australia with a median price of around half that of Sydney or Melbourne and offers a variety of options from city apartments overlooking the sunning Parklands to traditional bluestone villas across the suburbs.

The Adelaide Hills and foothills offer beautiful homes surrounded by greenery and native wildlife. Wherever you choose to live you'll still be within easy reach of the Flinders Fertility office.

Love Sport? We Do Too!

Playing sport is a way of life for most South Australians. Joining a local sporting club or team is one of the quickest ways to get to know your neighbours.

For those preferring to spectate, Adelaide is home to two NFL teams - the Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide, and the A-League soccer team Adelaide United.

In summer, Adelaide hosts the Tour Down Under bringing world-class cycling to the city and regions.
